Privacy Policy

Overview

JW Organizer is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your personal ministry data belongs to you and should remain under your control. This app stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit your personal information to external servers.

Data Collection

This app collects and stores the following types of information locally on your device:

• Personal Profile: Your name, congregation name, and ministry role
• Field Service Records: Hours, placements, return visits, and Bible studies
• Contact Information: Names and contact details of Bible studies and return visits
• Meeting Notes: Personal notes about congregation meetings
• Location Data: Coordinates of Bible studies and return visits (only when you explicitly use the location feature)

How Your Data is Stored

All data is stored locally in an SQLite database on your device. This means:

• Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it
• No account registration with external servers is required
• No cloud synchronization occurs automatically
• Uninstalling the app will remove all stored data

Data Security

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

• Local Storage: Data is stored only on your device
• Biometric Authentication: Optional fingerprint/face unlock to protect app access
• Encrypted Backups: When you create backups, they are encrypted using AES-256 encryption
• Password Protection: Backup files require a password to restore

Biometric Data

If you enable biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition), this data is processed entirely by your device's operating system. The app does not access, store, or transmit your biometric information. We only receive a success or failure response from the system when you attempt to unlock the app.

Location Services

The app uses location services only when you explicitly request it by tapping "Find My Location" when adding a Bible study or return visit. Location data is:

• Only collected when you manually initiate the action
• Stored locally to help you navigate back to contacts
• Never transmitted to external servers
• You can delete contact location data at any time

Service Planning Data

When you create a service plan, the app stores your planned service days and expected hours locally on your device. This data is used to:

• Display your monthly plan and progress
• Send local notifications on planned service days (7am reminders and 8pm check-ins)
• Calculate statistics for pioneers tracking monthly goals
• All planning data remains on your device and is never shared externally

Analytics & Usage Data

The analytics feature displays statistics calculated from your locally stored field service records. No usage data, analytics, or telemetry is collected or transmitted to external servers. All charts, graphs, and statistics are generated entirely on your device from your own ministry data.

Third-Party Services

This app uses minimal third-party services:

• OpenStreetMap: For displaying maps (no personal data shared)
• jw.org: For fetching meeting schedules (optional feature, no personal data sent)

No advertising networks, analytics services, or data brokers are used.

Data Sharing

Your data is only shared when you explicitly choose to:

• Share Reports: When you tap "Share" on a monthly report
• Create Backups: When you export an encrypted backup file

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Export: Create backups of your data at any time
• Delete: Remove any or all data by deleting records or uninstalling the app
• Modify: Edit any information you've entered

Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. We do not have access to your data and cannot delete it remotely. To delete your data:

• Delete individual records within the app
• Clear all data from the app settings
• Uninstall the app to remove all data
• Backups you create are retained until you delete them manually

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for users of all ages engaged in Christian ministry. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. The app's local-only data storage ensures that children's data is not transmitted externally.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
